In a new interview with Hideaki Itsuno, the former Capcom legend who brought us Devil May Cry and Dragon Dogma over his 30-year tenure at the company before leaving last year to form his own team, he talked about his latest game with Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma II.
The game faced some criticism and was not appreciated by all players. Itsuno pointed out that this was expected because he does not develop his games like Nintendo, which tries to please all players. Rather, he develops his game to please a specific group of players. Other fans outside of that circle will not like the game. The fans who liked the game fell in love with it, and I am proud of that.
