According to well-known developer Dusk Golem, Capcom has tried in recent years to revive the classic horror series Dino Crisis with a remake of the first game, but both attempts were canceled.
The first attempt was developed by Capcom Vancouver before the studio closed, while the second was developed by an internal team several years ago, but the project was canceled due to the game’s unacceptable schedule.
Despite both attempts failing, there is still hope for a return of dinosaur horror, as the Dino Crisis trademark was re-registered in Japan and Brazil this year at the same time that the Resident Evil Requiem trademark was registered in Brazil.
It’s worth noting that Capcom recently released two versions of Dino Crisis 1 and 2 on GOG, both of which support 4K resolution and have improved animation and graphics.
